How the acca builder works
Where do the probabilities come from?
Every price comes from the same prediction model behind our fixture pages and market tips: a Dixon-Coles adjusted Poisson model of each team's scoring and conceding. The percentage on each button is the model's chance of that selection landing, and the fair odds are simply 1 ÷ that chance, with no bookmaker margin.
How is the acca's chance worked out?
The legs are multiplied together, so four 70% picks give about a 24% chance of all four landing (fair odds about 4.16). That's why the builder allows one pick per match: two picks in the same game are linked (a home win and over 2.5 goals tend to go together), so multiplying them would give the wrong answer.
What does "value" mean?
Enter your bookmaker's price for each leg and the builder compares the combined price with the model's fair odds. If the bookmaker pays more than the fair odds, the acca has positive expected value according to the model. If it pays less, the model thinks the price is too short.
How does "Build it for me" choose?
By number of picks, it takes the most likely selection in each match and keeps the strongest matches. By target odds, it spreads the target evenly across the legs and picks selections close to that price, preferring fewer legs. It only uses matches that haven't kicked off, and never more than one pick per match.
Can I track an acca?
Yes. Save it to My accas or copy its share link. Either one shows each leg as pending, in play, won or lost, and settles the acca once the results are in. Postponed or abandoned matches are void and drop out at odds of 1.
